Mark is a superb yoga instructor, expertly knowledgeable and very experienced! He provides a never ending variety to each session, attuned throughout to each student’s skill level and ability. He is so easy going and chill at all times, very present and aware, astutely building on the mood of the session. If you are looking for quality yoga instruction, done extremely well, give Mark a try. You will be so glad you did! ~
As a professional dancer I am always a bit leary of taking mass movement classes of any kind. I was lucky enough to take yoga classes with Mark Staley when he was teaching in the studio in Shadyside. He is a warm, generous teacher - clearly creating a professional but yet open environment that was supportive for the very diverse level of Yoga Practitioners that were in the class. Providing clear direction and inspiration as well as group and individual comments. His sense of concern, passion, and physical understanding was evident from the very beginning through to the end of each class.
Mark is a solid yoga instructor. He has a way of making all participants feel comfortable and welcome in his classes. Mark’s teaching style is strong yet he manages to emphasize the softer side of the power vinyasa flow practice at the same time.
Mark Staley is the consummate instructor. Thoughtful and intentional in his guidance to students of all skill levels, his approach is unique, warm, and engaging. In practicing yoga the past 3 years, I’ve learned so much from his guidance, and really embraced not only the physical aspects of the practice, but the deep meditative qualities, thanks to his guidance. Mark carries his style and approach outside of the studio as well, in the manner in which he leads his life as a gentleman, a husband and a father. I’m proud to call him a friend, and recommend him highly as a business professional and yoga instructor.
Mark’s unique Yoga style is really an eye opener even for someone who has been practicing Yoga for quite a while. It’s intense yet flows well and provides great stress relief. I am a big fan
We had our first session with Mark and it was amazing. Both my husband and I really like Mark’s approach to yoga. With wealth of experience and knowledge, he walked us through the basics of yoga, made sure we did each post correctly based on our own bodies. Mark is patient and has good sense of humor — all of which made the session enjoyable. We signed up for more private lessons with Mark.
I took numerous yoga classes with Mark over the past several years. His classes were always fun, infused with yoga wisdom and Mark’s personal style. His classes are seldom easy, but loaded with whimsy and occasional creative portions mostly referred to as “Cirque du Solei” poses. For classes that included music, his selections were always very eclectic and presented everyone in attendance with both familiar and broadening experiences. Mark is a good, caring, yoga teacher and a very talented and engaging person.
I worked with Mark when he was first starting his journey in the wellness industry, although not in the direct way that he is now. Beyond his limitless knowledge of food, body, and spirit, Mark is exceptionally patient and present. Somehow, Mark helped me to develop a deeper awareness of my journey by just remaining present and holding a non-judgemental space during a very crucial time in my development. He is my dear friend to this day and I am so grateful for his presence in this business. I can’t say enough about him.
Mark is, by far, one of my favorite instructors. His sequence is designed to challenge and calm at the same time. My brain is usually confused until it finally shuts off and all I’m left with is my breath.
Mark introduced me to yoga & I fell in love! I’ve been practicing for a decade now. He’s a great teacher!!
