Sutra 1.2. Chitta Vritti Nirodhah

Yoga is the cessation of the ripples of the mind.

 LAF Yoga

What is LAFYoga?

It founded on three principles inspired by The Tapping Solution.  Love, Accept & Forgive

  • How does it feel to love yourself? (and it doesn’t have to be 100%, completely, every part of you; it just has to be a little more than when you started)

  • How does it feel to forgive yourself? (and it doesn’t have to be 100%, completely, every part of you; it just has to be a little more than when you started)

  • How does it feel to accept yourself? (and it doesn’t have to be 100%, completely, every part of you; it just has to be a little more than when you started)

To look through the lens of love first.  To accept yourself in this moment, however you are, without judgement. To forgive yourself for everything.

Forgiving doesn’t excuse anything, it simply allows you to put the baggage down and work to solve the issue with both hands.

LAF Yoga is a dance of joy, a practice in gratitude and an exploration of life! It’s a way to practice that is liberating; that encourages playful exploration of how your body moves, (not mine or anyone else’s). It’s also an discovery of how your mind moves, where it goes and how you can bring it to stillness.

I find that when I practice from this foundation I genuinely laugh, hence LAF Yoga!

When we can learn to still the ripples of our mind; the illusions, the arguments, the ego and attitudes, we begin to discover the stillness of our breath and mind. Like a lake that on a still morning, we can see clearly to the bottom, the core of our being and rest peacefully in that foundation of being. Simple to say but not so easy to do. Its a practice!

My approach to teaching is also a confluence of several mindful movement disciplines, including dance, so we move freely while exploring yoga poses and sometimes while playing live ceremonial music.

Transitioning from one pose to the next is a chance to explore, to release and to discover yourself, in this moment; separate, unique and new.  To love how your body moves, to accept how your body move and to forgive everything you’ve put in the way.

Let go of , “i want to be…  “ and love, accept and forgive who you are!  Keep working at that everyday, adding a bit more and more, while we dance, and stretch, and breathe.
